ARTIST STATEMENT
I manipulate various mediums and materials to heal, share, and raise awareness of dark and/or challenging subjects. Although my love for art began at a young age, my passion and ambition to pursue art beyond photography started in the wake of my cancer diagnosis in my late 20s. I’ve spent most of my life prior in activism and academia, quenching my thirst for knowledge in philosophy, psychology, and environmental science. My work explores these subjects' connectedness and the complex layers of human rights and the human experience: spiritually, mentally, and physically.
